CH29 Sawbuck Chair
Object

Hans J. Wegner designed the CH29P Sawbuck Chair in 1952. His inspiration was drawn from the sawbucks or saw horses used by carpenters and woodcutters, and added upholstered comfort to ensure a unique touch.
The CH29P Sawbuck Chair, designed by Hans J. Wegner has clean, simple lines and a unique and sturdy construction that requires fewer parts than traditional chairs. The wider seat front and lightly reclined back are beautifully crafted to ingeniously enhance comfort. This stylish chair was taken out of production in the 1970s, and relaunched 20 years later at the suggestion of Wegner’s daughter Marianne, becoming an immediate success thanks to its organic, comfort-driven structure and unique aesthetic. The CH29P Sawbuck Chair can be customized in an array of color and material combinations with appealing upholstery options in fabric or leather.
