The transformation of the neoclassical listed E.Ziller building into the vibrant Monument Hotel was rooted in a careful dialogue between preservation and contemporary intervention. Within this architectural framework, BOX INTERIORS undertook the supply of furniture and lighting shaping elements that would support but never compete with the historic character of the building. Drawing from the building’s refined geometry, the selected furnishings were selected as contemporary counterparts to the richly detailed interiors. Forms remain clean, materials natural but refined, allowing the restored murals and patinated surfaces to remain the protagonists. Lighting was selected to enhance depth and texture, softly revealing color variations and architectural rhythm. Τhis is a space that past and present meet effortlessly with each detail contributing to an environment that feels intentional and genuinely lived-in.
