Rio from Punt is a sideboard that expresses Sebastian Herkner’s interest in authentic materials, local sourcing and artisanal traditions. Part of his collection of cabinets and lamps, it brings contrasting surfaces and considered proportions into balance. Each element has a distinct presence within a coherent whole, lending a composed, sophisticated character to a living or dining space. In the pedestal versions, substantial supports give the design a grounded, imposing presence beneath the finely detailed cabinetry. The slender frames create a visual connection between the two supports, bringing lightness to the composition.
