Crafted in 1953 by Mathieu Matégot, the Satellite pendant lamp brings sculptural character to dining areas, hallways, and commercial spaces with its distinctive organic form and geometric presence. The design pays homage to France’s post-war scientific milestones, showcasing the creator’s innovative Rigitulle technique that allows perforated metal sheets to be folded into a lightweight, oblong silhouette. When lit, the fixture diffuses an atmospheric glow while casting dramatic patterns of light and shadow across surrounding walls and floors.
